Beverly Lee (Cecil) Braun, 81, of Ellettsville, formerly of Indianapolis and Centerpoint, IN, peacefully passed away at home November 23, 2011.

She was born in Indianapolis, IN October 25, 1930, the daughter of Chester and Stella (Young) Cecil. Beverly graduated from Arsenal Tech High School with the class of 1948. After high school she married Robert M. Braun May 13, 1950 and began raising their family in the Indianapolis area. She was licensed as a Practical Nurse in 1970 and worked as an LPN for Community East Hospital for 26 years. She and Bob retired to Dietz Lake in 1993. After 54 years of marriage Robert passed away and Beverly moved to Ellettsville with her daughter.

Beverly was a member of St. John the Apostle Church, in Bloomington, and a previous member of the Annunciation Catholic Church, in Brazil. She attended daily mass wherever and whenever she could. She enjoyed playing Bingo, Dominoes, playing card and board games, singing silly songs and telling stories.

She was preceded in death by her husband Robert, daughter Suzanne Hawkins and 12 brothers and sisters.

Survivors include her sons: R. Michael (Wendy) Braun, Indianapolis, Patrick J. (Barbara) Braun, Fishers, Jeffrey (Susan) Braun, Monticello, John K. (Pamela) Braun, Tipton, Dennis J. (Alice) Braun, Indianapolis, Vincent L. (Denise) Braun, Indianapolis, daughters: Jayne K. (Danny) Stalcup, Ellettsville, Margaret A. (Brian) Bastin, Orlando, FL; son-in-law Timothy Hawkins, Ellettsville; 46 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; two sisters: Shirley Skelley, Carol Graham; brother R. Gerald Cecil all of Indianapolis as well as a large extended family.


Funeral Information
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Annunciation Catholic Church, in Brazil, IN Monday, November 28, 2011 at 11:00am. Burial will follow at Restlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be at French Funeral Home Sunday, from 3-6:30pm. Rosary will be conducted at the funeral home at 6:30.
