PEKIN ~ Robert J. Travis, 64, of 1418 Matilda St., a Eureka native, died at 12:10 p.m. Wednesday (Feb. 18, 1987) at his home.

His funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Woolsey Funeral Home, Pekin. The Rev. Don Ridgeway will officiate. Burial will be in Chenoa Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 tonight at the funeral home.

Mr. Travis was born Sept. 22, 1922, a son of Isaac and Ella Travis. He married Marjorie Jean on Dec. 31, 1947, in Pontiac. She died May 5, 1963.

Survivors include one son, Michael L., Pekin; two daughters, Janice A. Travis and Sonja Lyon, both of Pekin; and four grandchildren.

Three brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.

Mr. Travis was an inspector at Caterpillar Inc. for 33 years and retired in 1979. He was a member of Gridley Christian Church and an Air Force veteran of World War II.

Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
