Kenneth R. Casey, Sr., passed away Tuesday, May 17, 1994 at Saginaw General Hospital. He was born March 2, 1934 in Saginaw. He married Mary Sue Brown on August 13, 1955; she survives him. He was employed by U.S. Graphite for 25 years and had owned and operated Casey's Restaurant, Skidway Lake. He was of the Catholic Faith, and a member of the L.O.O.M. No. 440, Skidway Lake. Surviving besides his wife, are four sons, one daughter and their spouses, Kenneth R, Jr., and Patti Casey, Shephard; Herbert and Beth Casey, Saginaw; Patricia and Perry Schaffner; Christopher Casey, all of Skidway Lake; Matthew Casey, St. Ignace; 10 grandchildren, Shannon, Sean, Caitlyn, Mark, and Kenneth III, Casey; David, Kelly, and Paul Casey; Brandon and Ryan Schaffner; two sisters and one brother, and their spouses, Mrs. Edwin (Gladys) Young; Leo and Sally Casey; Mrs. Robert (Ruth) Hill, all of Saginaw; several nieces; and nephews; two sisters-in-law; Mrs. Howard (Donna) Wilkins, West Branch; Mrs. Larry (Kitty) Knight, Bridgeport; a dear friend, John Cross, Skidway Lake. Two sisters and one brother, Marion Young; Lloyd Casey; and Mildred Fitch have predeceased him.
The funeral service will take place 11:00 a.m. Friday at the W.L. Case & Company Funeral Chapel, 409 Adams St. Rev. Robert Gohm will officiate, with burial in St. Andrew's Cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Thursday."
