Mrs. Evelyn Miller Conover, 53, of Rt. 1, Lawrenceville and a former resident of Richland County, when a child, died Monday afternoon at the Lawrence County Memorial Hospital after an illness of two years.

Funeral services will be held at the Nichols Funeral Home at Lawrenceville at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday with Richard Ciranko of Olney, in charge of the services. Burial will be at White House Cemetery. Friends may call at the NichoLs Funeral Home after 4 p.m. today.

Mrs. Conover, who is a half-sister of Mrs. Pauline (Dale), Harmon of Olney, has other relatives in and near Olney. She was a granddaughter of the late Mrs. Henry Bellinger of Olney.

She was born in Lawrence County on July 14, 1916, daughter of James and Lulu Ennis Miller .

She was a member of the Jehovah Witnesses.

Surviving is the husband, Odin Conover; six children, Nellie Ann Conover and Phyllis Conover, both at home, Mrs. Donald Thomas of Vincennes, Leroy Conover of Black Oak, Ind., Philip Conover of Hebron, Ill., Sam Conover of Bridgeport; a sister, Mrs. Leo Crouch of Rt. 3, Lawrenceville; a half-sister, Mrs. Dale Harmon of Route 1 Olney; a brother, Frank Miller of Peoria; and eight grandchildren.
