Thomas Wilkie, 80, of 524 N. Sherman ave., retired chauffeur, died Sunday in a Stoughton nursing home.
He was born in Scotland and had lived in Madison for 60 years. He was employed by the Johnson family, owners of Gisholt Machine Co., for 55 years.
Mr. Wilkie was Madison's oldest chauffeur, both in point of experience and age, at the time of his retirement.
He first chauffeured for the late Hobart S. Johnson, former Gisholt concern head and father of George H. Johnson, 639 Farwell dr., now chairman of the board and former president of Gisholt.
He is survived by his wife; a son, Thomas, Omaha, Neb.; two sisters, Mrs. Frank Linehan, Minneapolis, Minn., and Mrs. Soren Peterson, Milwaukee; and two brothers, Alex, Los Angeles, Calif., and James, Eau Claire.
Friends may call at the Frautschi funeral home, 120 E. Wilson st., here, from 4 p.m. Tuesday until time of services.
Funeral rites will be held Wednesday at 3 p.m. in the funeral home, with the Rev. John V. Berger of Christ Presbyterian Church here officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill cemetery.
