Peter Bauer, aged 51, died Monday afternoon at his home 6 miles northeast of Wakarusa. He had been ill 7 years of paralysis.
Surviving him are his wife, a daughter, Mrs Jerry Kehr, who lives 7 miles south of Elkhart on the Prairie street road; a grandchild; a sister, Mrs William Myers, who lives near the Basher chapel, and 5 brothers, Abe and Elmer Bauer of Wakarusa and David, Jacob and Mike Bauer of Elkhart. Another sister of Mr Bauer, Mrs John Witmer, died several months ago, also of paralysis.
The funeral services were held at 1 o'clock Wednesday at the house and at 2 o'clock at the Brick Yellow Creek Mennonite church. Rev George Lambert of Elkhart officiated. Mr Bauer was a member of the Brethren in Christ church.
