On 9 August 1871 William Solomon Sr. (age 66 yrs) & Nancy Ann James Hocking Solomon (age 69 yrs), along with son Edwin (b.7 Jul 1845) & Edwin's wife Instance Ann Pill Solomon (b. 29 Apr 1845) & children Edwin John (b. 18 Sep 1868) and Mary Ann "Polly" (b. 20 Apr 1870), boarded the ship "MINNESOTA" at Liverpool and arrived in New York on 21 August 1871. (see LDS/FHL Film # 025692 or US Film # 175703). The Solomon clan boarded a train in New York and arrived in Salt Lake City on 29 August 1871. William & Nancy joined sons & son's wives already living in Utah as follows:John James Solomon, b. 10 May 1826, Married: Eliza Vodden on 5 May 1849 in Truro, Cornwall, Eng.William Henry Solomon, b. 6 Feb 1828, Married: Elizabeth Hoskin Drew, 13 Oct 1851, Kenwyn, Cornwall, Eng.Married: Rebecca Yeo, circa 1869, Married: Ann Truscott, unknown, Married: Margaret Hunter, circa 1870, James Solomon, b. 26 Sep 1831, Married: Elizabeth Hill Stevens in Cornwall, Eng.Alfred Solomon, b. 10 Sep 1836, Married: Ellen Gyde, 3 Jun 1860, SLC, UTMarried: Emma Sarah Brown, 28 Mar 1868, SLC, UTMarried: Mary Louisa Solomon, 22 Sep 1873, SLC, UT
