J. D. Schwartz, Sultan, Dies In Local Hospital As Result Of Accident

J. D. Schwartz, 78, injured internally when run over by a wagon load of wood Thursday of last week, died in the Monroe General Hospital Thursday morning where he had been operated upon in the hope of saving his life. He resided on Route 1, Sultan, and was well known in Monroe.

Death was due as much to the advanced age of the injured man as it was to his injuries, serious though they were.

Reports indicate the fatal injuries due to an accident. Mr. Schwartz was hauling wood when he stumbled and fell. The fall stopped the team and tightened the lines to such as extent that they backed the wagon. The wheel passed over Mr. Schwartz's body. He is survived by his widow and a family , all grown.
