Wake services for Alice Virginia McNeal, 74, of Lubbock will be held from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. today at Tree of Life Sanctuary Church of God in Christ. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday at Ford Memorial with the Rev. R.L. Caro officiating.

Burial will be in City of Lubbock Cemetery under the direction of Brock's South Plains Funeral Directors.

She died Thursday, May 4, 2000.

She was born Oct. 25, 1925, in Kaufman. She married Judge McNeal Sr. on March 14, 1942. She was a member of Tree of Life Sanctuary. She served as mission president, president of the Mother's Board, and co-president of the Pastor's Aid. She also served as YPWW president for the Harvest Field District.

She was preceded in death by her husband and one child.

Survivors include four sons, A.R. of Lubbock, Judge Jr. of Austin, Vincent of Dallas and Tavaris Johnson of Lubbock; eight daughters, Alice Blackwell, Geraldine Johnson, Annie Cook, Cressie North, Lori Neloms, all of Lubbock, Kathy Reed of Amarillo, and Gloria Jones and Brenda Iberja, both of Denver, Colo.; a brother, R.L. Caro of Lubbock; seven sisters, Stella Mosely, Maurine Roberson, Mary Quiley, all of Lubbock, Deliah Devarce of San Antonio, Gloria Gates of Denver and Rudell Smith of Dallas; 49 grandchildren; 112 great-grandchildren; and 15 great-great-grandchildren.
