G.W. Hester Jr., 86, of Eupora passed away November 11, 2011 at NMMC in Eupora. Mr. Hester was born August 15, 1925 to the late George and Eva Moutry Hester of Webster County.
Mr. Hester was a member of Walthall Baptist Church and a member of VFW and American Legion.
He is survived by his wife, Cleo Fulgham Hester; a son, Jimmy Hester (Lisa); a son-in-law, Billy Joe Harthcock; 3 grandchildren,
Gorden Neal (Tammy), Coty Hester (Chanda), and Lindsey Rawls (Alex); and 2 great-grandchildren, Justin Neal (Mary), and Taylor Neal.
Funeral services were held Sunday, November 13, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. at Wise Chapel with Bro. Willy Weddle and Bro. Moke Ramage officiating. Burial followed in North Union Cemetery. Visitation was Sunday, November 13, 2011 from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.
Serving as pallbearers were Jimmy Hester, BJ Harthcock, Gorden Neal, Coty Hester, Justin Neal and Alex Rawls.
Mr. Hester was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Sandra Hester Harthcock; a brother, James Hester; and a sister, Myrtle Beasley.
Memorial may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
Wise Funeral Home in Eupora was in charge of arrangements.
