Louis Goetz, 85, son of Anton and Theresa Wolf Goetz, passed away Monday October 18, 1982 at the Hancock Memorial Hospital in Britt IA. He was born January 2. 1897 in Mt Palentine IL.
As a young man he moved with his parents to a farm northwest of Wesley IA where he attended Kossuth county rural schools. He was married Yo Genevieve Mayer Feb 16, 1927 at St. Benedict Ia. He farmed in the Wesley area until he retired in 1961 and has since lived in Britt.
Mr Goetz is survived by his wife Genevieve of Britt; 3 sisters: Loretta Lloyd of Des Moine Ia; Hilda (John) Hoag of Milwaukee Wi; and Stella Hauptman of Charles City Ia. 12 nieces and nephews and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 1 sister Gertrude Hoffer; 3 brothers; Frank, Mike and father Fidales (Edward)
