At a shooting match, at which was present many of the gentlemen of the neighborhood, a gun prematurely discharged, the ball striking Mr. Frank G. Goodwin, for several years past a well- known citizen of the county, and inflicting a mortal wound. He died on Monday morning." This matches a family story which told he was killed either accidentally or purposely while watching a duel between two other men.Info on Frank: Frank was 36 yrs. old when he died. Originally, he was buried in a plot some short distance from his house and the plot was fenced in. His grave marker showed he was a Mason. In 1966, one of his grandchildren moved the grave to the Raymond Town Cemetery because the house had burned. No marker has been found for the grave of Elizabeth Easterling, but it was presumed that she was buried at the old home place. It's been said that Frank played the violin.
