Daughter of Alexander and Dolly Smith Reaves. Dora married (1) Daniel Blake Stone on October 17, 1897, and (2) Richard Capps on March 17, 1945.


MARION - Mrs. Dora Reeves Stone Capps, widow of Richard Capps, died Wednesday morning at the home of her son, J. Lester Stone, with whom she made her home.

Funeral services will take place at 3 p.m. Thursday from Smith Brothers Funeral Home, officiated by the Rev. Paul Batson Jr. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.

Born February 10, 1876, she was a daughter of the late Alexander Reeves and Dolly Smith Reeves of Robeson County, N.C.

Mrs. Capps was a member of the Marion Baptist Church and a charter member of the Daughters of America. She had made her home in Marion for the past 60 years.

Her first marriage was to the late D. B. Stone of Marion.

Surviving, in addition to her son, is a daughter, Mrs. Leila Thompkins of Hope Mills, N.C.; 7 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren.
