Singer, Actress. A noted disco performer of the late 1970s, she is probably better remembered for her numerous appearances in pornographic movies. Born Andrea Marie Trueden, she graduated from a Catholic boarding school in 1961 and moved to New York in search of fame and fortune. Little is known of the next years though she did eventually land bit parts in some Hollywood features including 1973's "The Way We Were"; needing to make a living Andrea turned to hardcore porn and became a star with leading roles in upwards of 60 films. During an advertising trip to Jamaica she cut her first record "More, More, More" (1976), the title track of which became a hit. She had further success the next year with "N.Y., You've Got Me Dancing" from her "White Witch" album while her 1978 "What's Your Name, What's Your Number" was a best seller in England and Europe. As Andrea reached her late 30s porn jobs dried up while surgery for a goiter ruined her voice. She retired to Kingston, New York, over her last years appeared in documentaries and retrospectives on the porn industry, and died following an extended illness. During her career Andrea sang as The Andrea True Connection and had a multiplicity of screen names including Inger Kissin, Singh Low, and Catherine Warren.
