Bertha A. Davis
MILES CITY, MT. --- Bertha A. Davis was an office manager at cate's Tire Store in Miles City for many years and enjoyed flowers and gardening.
She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, St. Ann's Circle, Christian Womens Club, Holy Rosary Hospital Auxiliary, Range Riders Reps, Miles City Womens Club, Drove of Does, American Association of Retired Persons and a Girl Scout Leader.
Mrs. Davis, 82, died Wednesday afternoon in her home.
A daughter of Charles and Victoria Kaiser, she was born, raised and educated in Bismarck, N.D.
She later moved with the family to Miles City, MT., and graduated from Custer County High School.
She then attended Miles City Business Institute and worked for Miles City Mercantile Co.
On Sept. 4, 1926, she married Lewis Nathan Davis in Miles City.
He died in 1975.
Survivors include two sons, Lewis Jr. of Scottsdale, AZ., and Bruce of Burke, VA.
a daughter, Mrs. Thomas (Roberta) Wellems of Placitas, N.M., two brothers, Charles of Miles City, MT., Ray of Williston, N.D., four sisters, Helen Clarke of Yountville, CA., Ruth Fryer of Phoenix, AZ., and Laura Zeltinger and Vivian Klepper both of Missoula, MT.
11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Rosary will be at 7 p.m. Friday in the Chapel of Graves Funeral Home in Miles City.
Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Saturday in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Miles City, MT.
