Mrs. Catherine Skluzacek Buried
Relatives and friends were sorry to hear of the death of Mrs. Catherine Skluzacek which occurred on Monday.
Funeral services for the decease were held form the Holy Redeemer church of Montgomery on Wednesday morning at nine o'clock. Rev. E. Polasek conducted the services. Pallbearers were all grandchildren of the deceased, namely Robert Skluzacek of near town; Francis Lepeska of St. Paul; Roman Schatz of Montgomery; and Leo, Thomas and Charles Skluzacek of near Northfield. Burial was made in the St. Wenceslaus cemetery of New Prague.
Mrs. Catherine Skluzacek, nee Sticha, was born in Bohemia on November 25, 1850. At the time when she was about six years of age she came to America with her parents and the family settled near New Prague where she spent her childhood. She was united in marriage to Joseph Skluzacek and they made their home in this community. To his union were born the following children who mourn her death. Thomas Skluzacek of town; Albert and Frank Skluzacek of near town; Anton Skluzacek of Arizona and formerly of here; and Jake Skluzacek of near Northfield. Mrs. J. J. Schatz of Montgomery and Miss Catharine Skluzacek of St. Paul, one step daughter, Mrs. John Kucera of Montgomery and one stepson, Joseph F. Skluzacek of near town, also mourn her death. There are two sisters, Mrs. Mracek of New Prague and Mrs. Pavlicek and one brother, John Sticha of New Prague.
Her husband preceded her in death about 12 years ago. Three daughters Mr. Christine Lepeska, Mrs. Josephine Carsen of St. Paul and Julie Skluzacek also preceded her in death as well as three sons, Val Skluzacek, John Skluzacek and Father Augustine Skluzacek and one stepson and one stepdaughter.
Following the death of her husband, Mrs. Skluzacek made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Josephine Corcer. After the death of Mrs. Corcer, Mrs. Skluzacek made her home here with her son, Mrs. Thomas C. Skluzacek. She was well known in the community spending several years here and about a year ago she left for Montgomery where she made her home until his death.

Katherine is in an unmarked grave in Block B Lot 10, between Jakub, Anna, Katrina & Joseph Skluzacek on the left and Jan J. Skluzacek on the right.
