Obituary Gonzales Inquirer Oct. 24, 1940

In beautiful and inspiring rites held at the home, Mrs. Margaret Granger was laid to rest Saturday, October 12 in the Odd Fellows cemetery, bringing to a close a life of Christian service and devotion to all those with whom she came in contact.
Rev. K. C. Minter, Rev. Hal C. Wingo, and Rev. C. M. Campbell conducted the services, bringing a message of consolation to the grieving relatives and friends gathered to pay their last tribute to Mrs. Granger. Tje ministers read from John II, and I Corinthians 13.
At the home, old songs added to the Beaufort the services. These included Old a rugged Crossand God Be With You.
Pallbearers were, Ralph Botts, Frank Tenberg, O. S. DeWeese, Walter Finch, Fred Lang, and Rupert Reid.
Mrs. Granger was born in Dallas January 23, 1869, coming to this county when she was married. She died October 11 at the age of 71 years, 8 months, and 18 days.
In addition to a host of friends, she is survived by her husband, two stepsons and other rel.

Last rites were held Saturday afternoon for Mrs. Margaret Granger, wife of Willard W. Granger, who passed away at her home at 5:30 o'clock Friday evening. She was 71 years, 8 months, and 18 days of age at the time of her death.
Rev. K. C. Minter conducted the inspiring services and delivered a message of consolation to the grieving relatives and friends gathered to pay their last tribute to Mrs. Granger. Rev. Minter was assisted by Rev. C. M. Campbell and Rev. Hal C. Wingo.
Mrs. Granger was laid to rest in the Odd Fellows cemetery. At both the cemetery and at the home, profusion of beautiful floral offerings attested to the love and respect felt for Mrs. Granger by all who knew her.
Pallbearers were Ralph Botts, Fred Lang, Dr. Drain, Walter Finch, O. S. DeWeese, and M. S. Spooner, all of this city.
Mrs. Granger was born in Dallas county January 23, 1869, and lived there until she was married in November, 1920. She then moved with her husband to Gonzales, where she had made her home ever since.
She became a member of the Methodist church at the age of 16 and all her life and lived close to her church, always ready to do her part, and living as a good Christian wife and neighbor.
She is survived by her husband W. W. Granger, other relatives, and a host of friends.
