Mary was married to Nickolas Revie (1820-1871)


Nickolas and his brother. Frank, moved from Canada (French) to Wisconsin in the 1840's. They settled in Wausua, Marathon County. He met and married Mary, 23 years his junior. He died in 1871.


Mary was left a widow, with 4 small girls in early 1871. She met Gotfried Drinkwine, who was living with and working for Frank Revie. They married in late 1871 and relocated to Saint Paul, MN in 1877 then to Fawn Lake in 1897.

Death of Mrs. Drinkwine Fawn Lake Correspondence: Mrs. Mary Drinkwine, aged 77, died at her home last Wednesday, the immediate cause of her death being pneumonia, though she had been failing for some time. Funeral services were held at the United Brethren church in Moran and interment in the Moran cemetery. Mrs. Drinkwine is survived by five sons, Fred, William, Al, Sam and Henry, and by two daughters, Mrs. Fraser, of this township, and another residing in Minneapolis. The latter, and Henry Drinkwine, who resides in Canada, were unable to reach here for the funeral. Mrs. Drinkwine had resided here for a period of more than twenty-five years and was held in high esteem by all who knew her. The sympathy of all is extended to the surviving relatives in their great bereavement.
