Mary Emma Seyersdahl Barney passed away October 5, 2007 after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's.

Mary was born December 31, 1931 in Madison, Nebraska to August and Sophia Oziek Seyersdahl. She married Ray Melvin Barney February 7, 1953 in Green River, Wyoming. They were sealed in the Provo Utah Temple on November 29, 1994.

Mary is survived by her husband Ray; children Ray (Eileen) Barney of Orem, Marilyn (Craig) Ogren, Sandra Barney and Judy (Jack) Turpin all of Provo, Henry (Dottie) Barney of Orem, Jim (Tori) Barney of Saratoga Springs; brother Chris Seyersdahl of Green River, Wyoming; sisters Jearldine Hobbs of Provo, Frances Brunson of Fillmore, Lola Brown of Centerville and Susie Whiting of Mona; 21 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother Henry Seyersdahl; sisters June Negelein and Emeline Issacson; and grandson Trent Barney.

The family wishes to thank East Lake Care Center for their wonderful care.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday, October 9, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at the Provo City Cemetery, 610 South State Street, Provo.
