"Richard Kane DRISCOLL, '45, former student-body president, Stanford University, succombed October 2 from injuries incurred in an automobile accident on El Camino Real four days before. Enrolled as a graduate student in the Law School, he was editor of the Chaparral, a member of Hammer and Coffin and of the Alpha Delta Phi fraternity. Memorial services were conducted at the Stanford Memorial Church and the funeral was held in Los Angeles. He was inducted into the Army at Fort MacArthur in the summer of 1943 but was discharged shortly thereafter because of a shoulder injury. Among his survivors are two brothers, Navy Chief Specialist John Timothy Driscoll, '48, and Robert William Driscoll, '48." (Stanford Alumni Review, Vol. 47, No. 2, Nov. 1945 p. 32).
