Tracy Michelle Abbott, 44, of Jackson passed away Monday, Nov. 7, 2011, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, from injuries sustained in a vehicle accident.

She was born Sept. 21, 1967, at Dexter, Mo., daughter of Larry Abbott and Sharon Murphy.

Tracy was a 1985 graduate of Oran High School. She was attending Southeast Missouri State University, pursuing a teaching degree. She was employed by the Department of Mental Health in Sikeston, Mo. She was of the Pentecostal belief.

Survivors include her mother, Sharon Murphy of Jackson; her father, Larry Abbott of Sikeston; two sisters, Latisha Meyer of Sedgewickville, Mo., Cristal McCoy of Jackson; paternal grandmother, Flossie Abbott of Sikeston; two nephews, Evan-Michael Duncan and Connor Duncan; a niece, Ireland Meyer; and special cousins, Alexis Rauls and Maci Rauls.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents and paternal grandfather.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance, Mo.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the chapel with the Revs. Tim Lee and Tim Hall officiating. Burial will be in Morgan Memorial Park in Advance.
