Lester C. Allwardt, 64, of 1213 S. Seventh St., Manitowoc, died at 6 a.m. Saturday at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc, of coronary heart disease. He had been a patient four days. Funeral services will b at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Pfeffer Funeral Home and at 10 a.m. at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Alfred Pritzl will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Mr. Allwardt was born July 20, 1901, at Manitowoc, son of the late John and Emma Rambadt Allwardt. He attended public schools and was graduated from Manitowoc Business College. He married Virginia Rosera Van Schaik Sept. 14, 1929, at St. Boniface Church and had been associated 43 years with Guse Lumber Co. Mr. Allwardt was a member of United Commercial Travelers, Fraternal Order of Eagles and Holy Name Society of St. Boniface Church. Surviving are his wife, a son, (private), a sister, Mrs. Edna Schmalfeldt, of Rt. 1, Manitowoc, and three grandchildren. Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Monday where the Rosary will be recited at 8:30 p.m. by member sof St. Boniface Parish and Holy Name Society.
