Early Life: Born a Christmas present to the family. He grew up with siblings: William Decker, Isaac Driggs, Thelma Racheal, Esther, Benjamin Workman, Clifford Workman, Preston Workman, McKay Workman, Calvin Workman, all deceased, and Irene Finlinson living in Kennewick, Washington.
Life's Work/Service/Interests: Woody, as he was usually called, married Emma Renon Cook in 1938 and have a family of nine children: Lee, Nancy Baker, both deceased, Gay, Carl, Douglas, Richard, Dale, Kent, and Tamera Infanger. Woody's family is his joy, they also have thirty-four grandchildren, eighty-two great-grandchildren, and nine great-great-grandchildren. He has now reunited with his sweetheart, Emma. Woody learned the blacksmith trade from his father and knew how to put a tire on a wagon wheel. During World War II, he was an airplane mechanic at Nellis Air Force base in Las Vegas, Nevada. After the war he was a fireman for the Union Pacific Railroad and drove the large big boy steam engines over the Continental Divide. Like his fathers, he followed a number of vocations: farming, mining, and construction. He retired as a millwright at the Tintic silver mine in Eureka, Utah. He lived a long life of service to his God, family, Church and community. Woodford Workman Wilkerson, of Garden Grove, California; St. George and Mona, Utah; died July 13, 2013 at the age of 96.
Religion/Associations: A faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and filled many callings. After retiring, he and his wife served missions in the Redding California Mission, in London, England, and temple service missions in the Manti LDS Temple.
