He moved to Albion at the age of two, and was a life-long resident of the area. In his youth he was a boxer fighting under the name of Young Jim Corbett. He was the plant supervisor at the Albion Malleable Iron Company during the late 1940s. He also worked at Brooks Foundry and owned and operated Albion Casting Co. He was employed at Battle Creek Foundry as a sales engineer until his retirement in 1982. He was a member of the American Foundryman's Society where he served as past president. His parents, Croatian immigrants, were Ladislav "Slavko" Louis Pasick (originally Pacic)and Aloyza Obraz Pasick.
