Dorothy (Pasick) Small (age 96) formerly of Albion, passed away in Tamarac, Florida on September 12, 2019 after an illness of several years. She was born in Albion, Michigan on January 25, 1923, the daughter of Croatian immigrants Slavko "Louis" Pasick [Ladislav Pacic] and Aloyza (OBRAZ) Pasick. She was educated in the Albion Public Schools and graduated from Albion High School (Washington Gardner High School), class of 1940. Dorothy moved to Mt. Clemens, Michigan during World War II to be near her sister Leila. Dorothy was married to Morris D. Small (1916-2008) of New York City. The couple resided there before spending their retirement years in Tamarac, Florida. Dorothy was quite an artist, and would create beautiful paintings and sculptures.
In addition to her husband Morris, she was preceded in death by her parents, and siblings: Ana, Alex, Frank, John, Joseph, Leila, Stephen, and Walter.
A funeral and committal service was held on September 16, 2019, with interment in the Star of David Memorial Gardens Cemetery in North Lauderdale, Florida, next to her husband. Arrangements by the Star of David Memorial Gardens Cemetery & Funeral Chapel, 7701 Bailey Road, North Lauderdale, FL.
