Lucy Amanda Grant passed away peacefully Nov. 11, 2011, at Christus St. Vincent Hospital in Santa Fe. Lucy was born Dec. 6, 1926, in Van Houten and lived in Raton most of her life. She was preceded in death but now reunited with her loving husband Ernie.

Lucy will be remembered for her fresh baked bread, her knitting and crochet work which she shared with all her family and friends. Lucy was a life long member of St. Patrick-St. Joseph's Catholic Church.

She is survived by her children Sadie (Dale) Freimark of Milwaukee, Eleanor (Ron) Schneider of Milwaukee, Jerry (Patsy) Tafoya of Santa Fe, Becky (Ron) Macak of Milwaukee and her special dog Poncho. She is also survived by her grandchildren Lucy Marie, Maria, Steven, Gina, Jared, Dustin, Jordan and Kassidi; great grandchildren Kennedy and Henry; sisters Marie (Robert) Romero, Rosalie (Joe) Mascarenas; brothers Gus (Clara), James (Melodie) and Frank (Linda) Mascarenas; many nieces, nephews, cousins and long-time friends.

"What we wouldn't give to hear your voice one more time or feel your hug, but we know you are safe in God's loving arms. We love you Mom."

Recitation of the Most Holy Rosary will take place Friday, Nov. 25, at 9:30 a.m. at St. Patrick-St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Mass of the Resurrection will follow at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick-St. Joseph's Catholic Church with Father Daniel Balizan as the Celebrant. Rite of committal and inurnment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements for Lucy Amanda Grant are under the direction of the Alderette-Pomeroy Funeral Home of Raton.
