Elmer C. Cook, Sept. 18, 1913 - Feb. 11, 2001, Elmer Clarence COOK, 87, Grace Village, Winona Lake, died at 5:45 p.m. Sunday at Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw, where he was treated for cardio-respiratory failure. He had been ill for five years. Born in Rochester to Daniel and Della BABCOCK COOK, he married Esther "Ruth" MOW Feb. 22, 1936 in Rochester. She died July 16, 1999. Mr. Cook resided at Huffman Lake, near Atwood. He also lived in New Carlisle, Argos and Richland Center, near Rochester. He retired from Bendix Corp., South Bend, after 26 years. He farmed in the Argos and Richland Center areas. He was a member of the Otterbein United Methodist Church, Atwood. Survivors include two daughters, Elaine KLEIN and husband Dr. John KLEIN, Indianapolis; Sandra COOK, Seattle, Wash.; three sons, Richard D. [COOK] and wife Susie, Fort Wayne; Keith C. [COOK] and wife Penny, Winona Lake; Brent M. [COOK] and wife Judy, LaPorte; 13 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one sister, Edith HANEY DARKWOOD and husband Virgil, White Pigeon, Mich; two brothers, Eldrith [COOK], Rochester; Kenneth [COOK] and wife Martha Ann, Kewanna; several nieces and nephews. Preceding in death with his wife were his parents, one grandson and one foster grandson Services are at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Foster & Good Funeral Home, Rochester, with Rev. Gene ANSELL officiating. Burial is at Richland Center IOOF Cemetery, northwest of Rochester. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home and one hour prior to services.
