Virginia L "Ginnie" Stevens, 87, of Dayton, died Tuesday, August 23, 2011. Born February 24, 1924, in Dayton, she was the daughter of Dale and Veta (Miller) Crafton. Virginia was born and raised in Dayton and attended Dayton schools. She met her husband, Lowell, while attending Dayton High. They married on June 24, 1945. They had two children, Victoria ("Vicki") and Thomas.

She enjoyed taking care of her family, playing cards, camping and the beach.

Survivors include son, Thomas (Sandy) Stevens; grandson, TJ Stevens of Fossil OR; granddaughter, Carmen (Mike) Mendenhall; great-grandson, Connor Mendenhall of McMinnville; brothers, Jerry (Elva) Crafton of Prineville, OR, Clay (Bev) Crafton of McMinnville, Kel (Anita) Crafton of Sheridan and Wally (Ruth) Crafton of Stanfield, OR; sisters-in-law, Pat Crafton of McMinnville and Mildred Stevens of Aloha; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, daughter, brother, Clint, and sister, Juanita.

Services for Virginia will be held at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, August 28, 2011, at Macy & Son Funeral Home, with private interment at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery, McMinnville.
