George W. KNIGHT was born in Ohio, October 8th 1844 and died July 18, 1911 age 66 years , 9 months and 10 days. The deceased was apparently in the best of health. He had gone to Liffers to get some ice and while stooping over a piece of ice dropped dead. Heart trouble was the cause of his sudden death. He was the father of nine children of whom six are still living three sons and three daughters. Mrs William Davis of Glidden, Joseph Knight of Keokuk, Van Knight of Mallard Ill, Mrs Eva Orth of Warsaw Ill., Mrs Clara Siegal of Warsaw , Ill., and Luther Knight of Andover , Kansas. Besides the children , his aged wife, one brother, Benjamin Knight of Glidden and two sisters, Mrs Fannie Ulery of Elsberry, MO. and Mrs Rhoda Trucks of Coon Rapids, nephew William Ulery of Elsberry, Mo., eighteen grandchildren and one great grandchild many neighbors and friends to mourn his departure.
Mr Knight was well and favorably known in and around Carrollton of this state, where he lived several years. He was an energetic and hard working man and had made his way in this world by close and strict attention to business. All of the children were able to attend the funeral which was held last Thursday.
The bereaved wife and children have the sympathy of all in their sad bereavment.
