Aileen V. Heitbrink, 96, of Jacksonville, died Sat. Nov. 5, 2011 at Jacksonville Skilled Nursing and Rehab. She was born Feb. 15, 1915 in Bluffs, the daughter of John H. and Anna Kund Schuessler. She married Orville H. Heitbrink on Aug. 25, 1940 in Meredosia, and he preceded her in death on Oct. 17, 1990.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Edwin, Bill and John Schuessler and three sisters, Florence Arnold, Verna Arnold, and Margaret Frost.
She worked as a sales clerk in Jacksonville, beginning at Kresge's Store, followed by Sears, where she was employed for 31 years, and retired from in 1977. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially time spent traveling with her husband, knitting, and crocheting. Aileen was a long time member of Trinity Lutheran Church and most recently a member of Faith Lutheran Church.
Services were entrusted to Buchanan and Cody Funeral Home of Jacksonville, Illinois.
