William H Schuessler, 78, of Baylis, died 8 a.m. Monday (July 23, 1984) in his home. He was a retired railroad employee and farmer.
Mr. Schuessler was born Dec. 5, 1905, in Bluffs, Ill., the son of John and Anna Kuhn Schuessler. He married Irene Cox in Quincy on March 4, 1933. She preceded him in death, along with an infant son, seven brothers and sisters, and two granddaughters.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Betty Waters and Wanda Schuessler of Baylis; three sisters, Mrs. Ailene Heightbrink and Mrs. Margaret Frost of Jacksonville, and Mrs. Florence Arnold of Rushville; a brother, John Schuessler of Bethaldo, Ill.; five grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday in Baylis United Methodist Church, conducted by the Rev. Charles Nelson. Burial will be in Baylis Cemetery, with Skinner Funeral Home in Griggsville in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
