Northport - B.F. Shirley, age 81, of 14634 Lonnie Shirley Road, died February 17, 2003, at DCH Regional Medical Center. Graveside services will be held Thursday, February 20, 2003 at 11 a.m. at Macedonia United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Survivors include his spouse of 53 years, Mary Alice Turner Shirley, Northport; daughter, Leigh Anne Rice (Joe), Northport; son, Robert Shirley (Cheril), Northport; sisters, Frances Hamner, Ruby Mills, Martha Turner (Clifton), Northport; Jo Ann Davis, Tuscaloosa; grandchildren, Sara and Tyler Rice of Northport.

Pallbearers will be Robert Shirley, Joe Rice, James Shirley, Ronald Davis, Johnny Shirley, Jerry Turner, Charles Mills, Alvin Hamner, and Hilary Shirley.
