Northport - Ruby Allene Shirley Mills, age 86, of Northport, died Jan 3, 2006 at home. Services will be at 10 a.m. today at Macedonia United Methodist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Erman Mills; daughter, Erma Mills; sisters, Sue Lake and Fannie Lou Hamner, and brothers, John Shirley, Lonnie Shirley, Grady Shirley, Pat Shirley, James Shirley and Buddy Shirley.

Survivors include her daughters, Allene Johnston and son-in-law Oliver, and Betty Mills, son, Charles E. Mills and daughter-in-law Pat; sisters, Frances Hamner, Joan Davis and Martha Turner; sisters-in-law, Mary Alice Shirley and Elizabeth Rigsby; brothers-in-law, Thomas Lake and Clifton Turner; grandchildren, Ricky Mills, Maury Costes, John Mills and William Mills; nine great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
