West Weber- John Albert Heslop, 88, of 1352 S. 5100 W., died Sunday Evening in an Ogden nursing home.
Mr. Heslop was born March 20, 1886 in West Weber, a son of George and Cynthia Lois Green Heslop.
He was married to Laura Bell on December, 5, 1912, In the Salt Lake Temple. She died August, 8, 1962.
He was a life long resident of West Weber where he had owned and operated a farm. He had also worked for the Bear River Insurance co.
He was a member of the West Weber LDS Ward and was a High Priest in the Weber North Stake. He served a mission to the Northwestern states from 1910 to 1912. He was a member of the North Weber stake high counsel for 26 years, and was a ward clerk in the West Weber Ward for 17 years.
Surviving are two sons, Ivan J. Heslop, Ogden; Orlyn G. Heslop, Moses Lake, Wash: six daughters, Mrs. Lawrence (Margaret) Mayberry, Mrs.S. R. (Belva) Mattson Jr., Mrs. Max (Ora Jean) Belnap, all of Ogden; Miss Beth Heslop West Weber; Mrs. Albert (Ortell) Fielding, Hooper; Mrs. Marvin (Lois) Huntering, Hooper, Walnut Creek, Calif.; 36 Grandchildren; and 44 Great grandchildren.
Also surviving are three brothers, Jesse Heslop; Kaysville, Franklin Heslop, Brigham City; Herbert Heslop, West Weber.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. in the West Wber
ward Chapel with Bishop Joseph Surrage officiating.
Friends may call at the Larkin and Sons Mortuary in Ogden Tuesday from 6 to
