She was born Aug. 11, 1921, in Tinker, New Brunswick, the daughter of Arthur and Mae (Jensen) Russell. She was educated in the Fort Fairfield school system and received her licensed practical nursing degree from Northern Maine Vocational Technical Institute, Presque Isle.
Olive was married to Franklin G. "Sonny" Griffeth, March 18, 1939, and was a member of Limestone United Methodist Church, where she was a member of United Methodist Women. She had been employed for several years at the former Community General Hospital, Fort Fairfield, as a licensed practical nurse.
Olive will be remembered by her family as a wonderful wife and mother, and as a doting grandmother and great-grandmother.
In addition to her parents, Olive was predeceased by her husband, June 30, 1984; four brothers, Frank and George Nelson, Lester and Gary Achorn; two sisters, Merinda Schwartz and Sylvia Bernard; and two grandchildren, Reginald Edgecomb Jr. and Darcy Edgecomb.
