Born in Putnam County, March 31, 1878, Mr. Spencer was a life-long resident of this area. He was married Jan. 15, 1919 to Catharine Morris, who survives.
He was a member of the Dupont Church of the Brethren.
Also surviving are two sons, Wilbur H., Cloverdale, and Willis, at home; one grandchild; and a brother, Amsiah, Pioneer.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the North Mount Zion Church, north of Continental, the Rev. Billy Krugh, Leipsic, officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The Walls-Walker Funeral Home, Continental, is in charge of arrangements.
