Frida Orn Jordan was born in Gävleborg, Ljusne Gefab, Sweden and immigrated to the U.S. in 1901. (Her last name had an "umlaut" over the O originally; her father's name was Gustav). In 1910 she was in Chicago, a boarder, working as a stenographer. She married Lebert E. Jordan (1877-1963) on 5 May 1914. Their five children are: Lebert Victor (1915-1987), Thomas F. (1917-1929), John Philip (1918-2011), Barbara Lewis Jordan Bache-Wiig (1922-2015), and Pollyanna Jordan Dubourg (1924-2001. Frida was Lebert's second wife. His first was Isabelle C. (Belle) Grogan, who died in 1913. Frida thus also raised stepsons Glenon Sylvester (1900-1980) and Eugene Patrick (1903-1953) Jordan.
The couple lived in Minneapolis until about 1950 and then moved to Los Angeles, California, where Lebert died in 1963. Frida then moved to Texas, where her son Philip was living, and died in Houston in 1967. She is buried next to her husband and their son Thomas, who died as a child, in Angelus Rosedale Cemetery in Los Angeles, Section N.
