W. Jean Lumbert W. Jean Lumbert crossed over the rainbow bridge on November 12th, 2011 at home surrounded by family and her pug Swin after a battle with cancer. Jean was born in 1945 in Portland, MI. Jean was a disabled Veteran and proud to have served her country. She retired from GM after 33 years of always working in quality control. She was a certified quality engineer and a certified quality auditor. Jean loved gambling and all kinds of sports. She was especially proud to be associated with the WNBA Detroit Shocks. She grew to love her Pugs and was involved with the Mid-Michigan Pug Club. Jean's greatest joy was caring for her family members that needed her help. She was preceded in death by her life time partner, Nancy Jester; her mother, Lila Lumbert; her step father, Wayne Lumbert; her father, Francis Lumbert; and her favorite uncle Walt and aunt Orcelia Matz. She leaves 6 brothers, Sonny (Ellen), Jim (Martha), Cliff, Jerry (Merlene), Bob (Dawn), and Larry (Sandy); 3 sisters, Gladah, Wendy (Lin), Cindy (Dennis); and several nieces and nephews that were very dear to her. She will be missed by her Pug, Swin and all her family. Donations may be made in Jean's memory to Area 8 Eaton County Special Olympics or the Mid Michigan Pug Club. C/O RFH PO Box 36 Sunfield, MI 48890. Visitation will be 1-3 and 6-8 p.m. - Tuesday November 15, 2011 at the Rosier Funeral Home, Mapes-Fisher Chapel, Sunfield, MI. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. - Wednesday also at the Rosier Funeral Home. A full Military service will follow at the East Sebewa Cemetery.
