Belfast — Brent Lee Kelley, 60, passed away at his residence in Belfast after a courageous battle with cancer on Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2011. He was born in Gray on Jan. 22, 1951 to Woodrow and Phyllis (Welch) Kelley.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran and served in Vietnam. Brent was a great outdoorsman, enjoying hunting and fishing and life in general.
He was predeceased by his father, and is survived by his loving mother, Phyllis Kelley of Belfast; his siblings, Coleen Marsh of Belfast, Eugene Kelley and his wife Sharon of Monroe, and Bruce Kelley and his wife Patricia of Belmont.
Private burial will be held at Maine Veterans Cemetery in Augusta. (Republican Journal 11/12/2011)
