Funeral services for Raymond W. Piazza, Sr. will be at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, December 5, 2007 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church with the Rev. Chris Munsch officiating. Burial will follow in the Pythian Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.
Mr. Piazza, age 78, of Simmesport, passed away on Monday, December 3, 2007 at his residence.
He is preceded in death by a daughter, Francis Armand; his parents, Sam and Mary Artall Piazza; and his two brothers, J.P. Piazza and Samuel Francis Piazza, III.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Adeline Myers Piazza of Simmesport; five sons, Raymond Piazza, Jr. of Marksvile, Ronald Lee Piazza of Marksville, Samuel Piazza of Plaucheville, David Piazza of Bordeloneville, and Jasper Piazza of Plaucheville; three daughters, Patricia Dauzat of Fifth Ward, Flora Vayda of Lucedale, Mississippi and Nellie Normand of Simmesport; two sisters, Ceil Ferguson of Bunkie and Joyce Cathey of Bunkie; twenty four grandchildren; thirty two great grand children; two great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will include Sam Piazza, James Dauzat, David Piazza, Jr., Cecil Piazza, Josh Piazza, James Piazza.
