Archiebald Mercade Michelson AKA Gardner married Francis Caroline Snellings in Tupelo Mississippi in 1931. Archie was the son of John Ole Michelson and Sophia Loretta Kreutz. He was born in Leipzig North Dakota.

Archiebald Mercade Michelson AKA Gardner. His father was John Ole Michelson.His grandfather was Sever Edward Michelson, his great grandfather was Erik Mekkelson Meland from Norway.

Archiebald Mercade Michelson Gardner.was a good man,wasn't afraid of work and did so from sun-up and past sundown. Loved his family and did the best he could.The depression era was hard on everyone but I don't recall him ever complaining about it, he just kept on working. I do recall his words that still haunt me to this day. "Things will get better" and he belived it..I belived him...He was a carpenter by trade and I might add one of the finest I've ever seen. My son followed in his footsteps. Archie would be proud of him...Some of Archie's work can still be seen along the Red River between Texas and Oklahoma.He was Foreman on the building of the Denison Dam . Lake Texoma was due to hard labor and skills of men like Archie.. Thanks to him and his kind for the much needed dam and for the pleasures we enjoy as a result of Lake Texoma.

Stones for burial site of Archiebald Gardner.Fathers name was John Ole Michelson.Great grandfathers name was Erik Michelson Meland.Meland was old farm name from Norway used by his great grandfather in this country. The name Michelson was that of his father,this was his fathers name before the addition of the name Meland...The name Michelson followed through until Archiebald changed his name to Gardner. All family and Court records attest to this fact.
