Eleanor “Elsie” C. Anderson, 84, of Moses Lake, WA, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 11, 2010. She was born June 22, 1925, in Salina, Utah to Niels Edgar and Dora Christensen.
She met the love of her life Max K. Anderson, and they were married on Nov. 3, 1945 in Evanston, Wyoming. They lived the first few years of their married life in Gunnison, Utah before Max was transferred with U&I Sugar Co. to Moses Lake in 1960. She worked at a local florist shop before moving to the local Anita Shop that she managed for several years.
She enjoyed watching all of her children’s & grandchildren’s sports activities, traveling, walking her dogs, working in her yard, and going to the Senior Center with her friends.
She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Elsie is survived by a son and daughter-in-law Larry & Barbie Anderson of Spokane, daughter and son-in-law LaRee & Ray Baratcart and daughter LaRaine Arriola, all of Moses Lake. Grandchildren Shannon & Tyson von Guenthner of Chula Vista, CA., Justin & Holly Arriola of Moses Lake, Shelly & Justin Good of Moses Lake, Hayley & Leo Rohner of Spokane, Brandon Anderson of Kennewick, WA., Daniel Anderson of Everett, WA. Great grandchildren, McKenna Good, Camden Arriola, Dane & Ryder von Guenthner. A Sister Vernell Schneidewind of Ontario, CA., and several nieces and nephews.
Elsie was preceded in death by her husband Max K. Anderson, her son Brent K. Anderson, her son-in-law D. Martin Arriola, and a great grandson Tyler Good.
Elsie spent her life being a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, & friend. She will be remembered as a gracious lady to everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
Per Elsie’s request there will be no services. The family will have a private graveside service at a later date.
The family would like to extend their sincerest thanks to the staff of Moses Lake Senior Living Community, and to all others who were involved, for their loving care of Elsie in her final days.
Arrangements are in care of Kayser's Chapel & Crematory, Moses Lake.
