Lena M. Fehringer, 86, passed away at 4:14 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2007, in Rehab and Care Center of Jackson County in Murphysboro. Services will be in Wilson's Funeral Home in Ava, with the Rev. Stephanie Shemwell officiating. Burial will be in Ava Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home. Memorial may be made to Grand Tower Methodist Church or TIP Hospice.

Mrs. Fehringer was born in Murphysboro to Herman and Mae Butz Marshall on July 26, 1921. She married Ivan Lee "Buck" Fehringer on Jan. 4, 1941, in Jackson, Mo., and he preceded her in death Nov. 3, 1971.

Mrs. Fehringer was a retired farmer and was a homemaker. She was a member of Grand Tower Methodist Church in Grand Tower.

She is survived by her daughters, Mary Lou White and husband, Bobbie of Gorham and Janet Taylor of Centralia; four grandsons, Bobbie B. White Jr., Michael White and fiancee, Jodi Mifflin, Terry Taylor and Charles Rodney Taylor; five great-grandchildren ...; one sister, Doris Gale of St. Louis; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
