Mrs. Fehringer died Friday, March 25, 1983, at 11:15 a.m. in the Jackson County Nursing Home in Murphysboro after suffering an extended illness.
She was born at Dry Hill in Jackson County July 25, 1893, to Payton and Nancy Modglin McBride. She was married in Murphysboro Feb. 14, 1910, to Charles Fehringer. He died Dec. 30, 1956.
She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Gorham Methodist Church and the Royal Neighbors Lodge.
Survivors are daughters, Thelma Mifflin of Jacob, Opal Crain of Gorham and Charleen Becker of Evansville, Ill.; twin sister, Clemmie Leinicke of Rockwood, and sister, Charlotte Greiner of Indianapolis, Ind.; brother; Howard McBride of Theodosia. Mo.; daughter-in-law, Lena Mae Preston of Jacob; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grand-children; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by an infant daughter and two sons, Louis and Ivan Lee.
Memorials may be made to the Gorham Methodist Church.
