Lena M. Smith 73, of Route 2, Marietta, died Friday afternoon in Doctor's Hospital North in Columbus, Ohio.
She was born in Wood County, a daughter of the late Daniel & Clair Sharp Jones. She had spent her early life in Wood County. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Marietta, the Win One Sunday School class & the Women's Assoc.
She is survived by her husband, Wilford E. Smith, 2 daughters, Joette Smith of Orlando, FL & Jeannie Schilling of Williamstown, 4 sisters, Helen Allen, Bess McKitrick & Nellie Miller, all of Parkersburg & Merle Rowley of Williamstown, 4 grandchildren, 3 grtgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by an infant brother. Services will be 1:pm Monday in McClure-Schafter Funeral Home with the Rev. Donald Shuler officiating. Burial will be in Skidmore Cemetery (aka Pleasant Valley) Dallison, West Virginia. Friends may call at the funeral home until the hour of service.
