She was the daughter of John Jehu and Elizabeth A. (Hammond) Bailey.
She married Charles Evans Ussery on May 1, 1870 in Hart County, Georgia.
Their known children were: Samuel, Johnny, Pink, Jehu and Floral Ussery.

(Mrs. C. E. Ussery has a CSA pension application on line in the Georgia Archives virtual vault. She says she married Mr. C. E. Ussery in 1870 in Hart Co. He enlisted in July 1861 in Hartwell, GA and served with Company H of the 15th GA regiment. At the surrender in 1865, he was at home , having been badly wounded in the war. He died March 27, 1923 in Georgia. Proof of her own death on Feb. 19, 1928 is also included in the paperwork.
