1910 Census indicates that Mary S Allen and George were married 12 years at the time which would make it 1898 about the same time that all family trees say Mary Allen married George."

In reading that G W Allen was married 3 times. I believe he was only married to wife 1, Amanda Louisa Evans and to wife 2, Mary Susan (Susie) Card Doggett Allen.
Susie was my Great Grandmother Frances Card Doggett's sister.
Frances (Frankie) married Thomas Stapleton Doggett and
Susie married William Yancy Doggett.
William Doggett died shortly after the marriage.
I have a copy of the marriage certificate showing Marriage of Mr. George W. Allen and Mrs Mary S. Doggett dates June 4, 1897.
Therefore Susan Card Allen, buried in Oak Hill Cemetery, Flatonia is as stated on her tombstone, wife of G W Allen Sr. MD.
She is also Mary Allen!
I believe Dr Allen was only married to 2 women, but Mary Susan Allen, though legally Mary, went by her middle name Susan aka Susie.
My great grandmother Frances (Susie's sister), went by the name Frankie and they also had a sister Jessie.
