Rodney R. Barnett, 20, of Ute died Saturday, April 14, 1990, at Ute.

Services were at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in St. Boniface Catholic Church in Charter Oak with the Rev. William Wingert officiating. Burial was in St. Clair Cemetery at Ute.

Mr. Barnett was born March 2, 1970, at Onawa. He grew up in the Ricketts/Schleswig area. He graduated from Charter Oak-Ute High School in 1988 where he was active in football. He formerly worked at Farmland and presently was working for Mike Miller.

Rodney was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Amos Barnett.

Survivors include his mother, Frances Barnett of Ute; his father, Kent Barnett of West Liberty; a sister, Tana of Denison; four brothers, Randy of Houston, Texas, twins Rick and Ron, both of Ute and Roger of Schleswig; maternal grandparents, Ray and Marjie Pithan of Ute; and paternal grandmother, Mrs. Helen Barnett of Soldier.
