Mr. Kenneth Allen "Cub" Lawson, age 64, of Swords Creek, Virginia, passed away Friday, November 11, 2011 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Richlands, Virginia and was the son of the late Quentin "Kit" and Hazel Tuggle Lawson.
He was a lifelong resident of the area and was a retired miner from Consol. He was a member of the UMWA Local #1509 and was a Richlands High School Class of 1967 graduate.

Keith Lawson and wife, Cindy of Roanoke, Virginia
Four Grandchildren, Seven Step Grandchildren, and One Step Great Grandchild also survive.
Funeral services for Kenneth Allen Lawson will be conducted Monday, November 14, 2011 at 2:00pm with the Rev. Vonley Pruitt officiating. Interment will follow at Greenhills Memory Gardens at Claypool Hill, Virginia. Pallbearers will be: Quin Lawson, Joshua Lawson, Dennis Lawson, Neal Lawson, Danny Ball, and Steve Ball. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Bill Mallory, Landon Altizer, Dual Stevens, Bill Sizemore, Vincent Sizemore, and Wayne Pinion.
