Morris gained notoriety for his perfect rendition of Cash's vocals while singing Cash's tunes in the underground tunnels of BART's transit system, mainly hanging out at the Mission and Montgomery stations.
In 2008 Morris started recording a country infused album, but after money ran out the idea was shelved. He had most recently been working throughout San Francisco with his band, the Man Cougars, playing original music and covers of many bands, not just Johnny Cash. He also worked as a bouncer at an area bar.
Morris struggled for years with depression, and died two days before his birthday. He was 27 years old.
